    Maybe my mistake here was ordering a doner kebab.  It might be that I'm biased after having eaten many delicious doner kebabs in Germany, but  the doner here failed to make any sort of positive impression.  The bread felt dry (a difficult feat considering the greasy meat), the meat was strangely spiced (nutmeg? cardamom?) , and there was no sauce on it, so every bite had to be swallowed with the utmost caution.  The lesson to learn here is never to trust a kebab restaurant that doesn't have its meat on the spit in full view of the customers (or at least go for the burger instead).
